Marché Richelieu is one of Metro‘s three grocery banners with Marché Extra! and Marché Ami.

According to Metro, the 72 Marché Richelieu stores in Quebec focus on a personalized service, fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables, bakery products, prepared meals and premium meats prepared by experienced butchers.

Affiliated independent owners are supplied by Distagro’s Metro warehouse in St-Jean-Port-Joli, which is still owned by Metro (the other, the Distagro warehouse in Boucherville, was sold by Metro in 2012 to the American company Sysco – source : Radio-Canada). Approximately 80% of Marché Richelieu groceries are located in remote regions. Very few are located in urban areas such as Montreal or Quebec City.
