Parkland Fuel Corporation

New player in the Quebec convenience store market, Parkland Fuel Corporation is making a big entry with the purchase from Couche-Tard of CST Brands‘ Canadian assets in 2016 for $ 750 million that comprises of Quebec Ultramar convenience store network, which include the Dépanneur du Coin banners and the Dépan Express franchises. This transaction is expected to be completed before the end of 2017.

Parkland now has a critical mass of 344 well established c-stores with gas in a market it has never really occupied before.

In addition, Parkland acquired the Marché Express convenience store brand from Imperial Oil as well as supply and franchise agreements. Listed on the stock exchange, the company is known for its dynamism and its strong growth. Originally from Red Deer, Alberta, it operates a network of 800 gas stations (in or out of British Columbia) displaying the Fas Gas Plus and Race Trac gas and c-store banners.
