The Last Big Oil Company Still Active In The Retail Sector
Contrary to Shell, Esso and Ultramar, Suncor never intended to leave the retail sector.
With more than $ 40 billion in annual revenues, Suncor Energy is Canada’s largest company in terms of revenue. The company is involved in all stages of petroleum marketing, from mining to distribution. It operates a major petroleum refinery in Montreal that feeds its well-known distribution network under the Petro-Canada banner.
The company not only distributes gasoline, but also operates a convenience store banner under the Super Relais brand. It also works in a 50-50 partnership with F. Dufresne in the operation of the 28 Cadeko convenience stores located in eastern Quebec.
