Quebec Cannabis Bill 157 Adopted Today

Today, the famous provincial cannabis Bill 157 that regulates the sale of this newly legalized drug by the Federal government has been adopted.

Recall that following debates on the cannabis regulation, it was decided not to entrust the sale of pot to depanneurs for fear of “trivializing” the product.

Instead, it has been decided to sell it through the SAQ, the Quebec liquor chain monopoly which, with some 20 stores at the most, is planning to beat the organized crime.

Very unfortunate and disappointing to have seen the positions of political parties like the CAQ which supported the SAQ monopoly and even, wanted to prohibit the sale of this substance to people under 21 years of age.
